1920-april 17- Establishment of the Venezuelan Military Aviation School
This institution was installed on December 10, 1920, when a group of fifteen persons chaired by Colonel David López Henríquez and with the participation of advisers in the French company FARMAN in an official ceremony to declare installed Venezuelan Military Aviation School which was located in the city of Maracay.
The first diploma of "Military Aviator Pilot " was confered to Manuel Rios, the first Venezuelan military pilot to fly alone, on April 14, 1921
On June 22, 1946 is the stardate of the Venezuelan Air Force, because the military junta Revolutionary of Government created after the military coup of 1945, issued Decree Law No. 349 through which was created the "Venezuelan Air Force" and was gives equal rank and standing as that possessed by the Army and Navy in Military Armed Forces of the Nation.
On December 10, 2009, under the eighty-ninth (89th) anniversary of the Bolivariana Military Aviation (AMB), held on the operations ramp of the Air Force Base "El Libertador" (BAEL), the President of the Republic, Hugo Chávez Frias, signed a decree 7.102 instituting the day 27 November as the Venezuelan air component Day.
